Welcome to the Three Hundred Thirty Seventh episode of Daily Daf Differently. In this episode, Matthew Goldstone looks at Masechet Pesachim Daf 78.
Here we focus on three different topics that arise over the course of the daf: the difference between a mitzvah being pushed off entirely, or merely being placed into a state of potentiality; the question of whether G-d or the community has a greater hand in rendering impure sacrifices acceptable; and the question of whether eating sacrifices is essential.
Matthew Goldstone is a three year PhD student in Talmud at New York University. He received his Masters degree from JTS and subsequently spent two years studying in Israel before beginning at NYU.
The opening and closing music for this podcast is Ufros from The Epichorus album One Bead.
