We had the opportunity to speak with Rabbi Ari Weiss Executive Director of Uri L’Tzedek. Uri L’Tzedek is an Orthodox social justice organization guided by Torah values and dedicated to combating suffering and oppression. Through community based education, leadership development and action, Uri L’Tzedek creates discourse, inspires leaders, and empowers the Jewish community towards creating a more just world.

Aaron “The Schmoz” Herman is the Director of Missions and Development for the Jewish Federations of North America and CEO of ABH Consulting, which specializes in fundraising and multimedia engagement. Aaron is a leader in social media engagement and user experience. Aaron has worked for UJF of Greater Stamford, Birthright Israel Foundation,and the Jewish New Teacher Project helping to enhance annual campaigns and community outreach. Aaron is an informal Jewish educator who has staffed 12 Taglit-Birthright Israel trips, USY European experience, taught nursery school in Riverdale and Hebrew school in Vestal, NY.
