I Get By With A Little Help…

In this episode of The JCast Journey, host Darone Ruskay thinks about his friend Joel Gershon who is creating a new documentary about a circus school in Cambodia, and is attempting to fund this film collectively. What Darone thought was most interesting about Joel’s method is that each time someone makes a donation, he takes the time to publicly thank them on Social Media (read Facebook) and talks about their relationship and the ways in which they have connected in the past, as well as making a public thank you.

This concept made Darone think about asking you, the JCast Network listener to consider donating, and in return Darone will publicly thank you on Facebook. And if you are unable to donate financially he invites you to write a review on any of the JCast Network podcasts, and send him an eMail at druskay@jcastnetwork.org and he will also thank you and reply to your iTunes review on social media.

Darone Ruskay

Darone has spent the past fifteen years working in the Jewish Education field, providing top-quality Jewish education to the North American community. he served as the Conference Coordinator for The Coalition for the Advancement of Jewish Education (CAJE) for many years. Since then he has worked at United Jewish Communities (UJC), as their Director of Young Leadership Cabinet Membership, at The Jewish Theological Seminary (JTS), in the Department of Institutional Advancement, and most recently as the Managing Director of The Skirball Center for Adult Jewish Learning at Temple Emanu-El. He brings his passion for Jewish Life and Education, as well as his personal interest and passion for media and technology to this new venture, and is perfectly suited to lead the JCast Network (which he might just have to call JCN as he is so used to working at institutions that use their initials.)
