Professor Howard Lupovitch is associate professor of history and director of the Cohn-Haddow Center for Judaic Studies. He specializes in modern Jewish History, specifically the Jews of Hungary and the Habsburg Monarchy. He recently completed a history of the Jews of Budapest and is currently working in the politics of progressive Jews in Hungary and the Habsburg Empire from 1848 to 1918.
