In today’s daf we will continue the sugya we started to learn yesterday about Rabbi Yosi’s position on sentencing and the disagreement between Rabbi Hiya and Bar Kapara over Rebbe’s teaching of Rabbi Yosi’s position. Then we will take a step back and try to figure out what is happening here on the big picture level and what is at stake in this discussion besides the technical sentencing.
