Welcome to the Three Hundred Fifty Eighth episode of Daily Daf Differently. In this episode, Rabbi Harry Pell looks at Masechet Pesachim Daf 99.
Masechet Pesachim Daf, 99 illustrates how a Kal v’Chomer works with a straightforward example. The example has to do with the benefits to the wise of remaining silent in certain situations, and all the more so, the benefits of silence to the foolish!
Rabbi Harry Pell is Schechter Westchester’s rabbi-in-residence, as well as a teacher of Talmud and chair of the Judaic Studies department in the High School. His favorite teaching opportunity comes annually when he is privileged to travel and learn with the senior class in Poland and Israel. Rabbi Pell also serves as a reserve chaplain in the United States Navy and is working on a long term doctorate in Talmud and rabbinics.
The opening and closing music for this podcast is Ufros from The Epichorus album One Bead.
