Ketubot, Daf 48

Welcome to the Daily Daf Differently. In this episode, William Friedman looks at Masechet Ketubot, Daf 48.

Ketubot 48 discusses the obligation of a husband to pay for his wife’s burial, involving throny issues of relative social class, expectations for funerals, and ultimately how to deal with rich people who try to defraud society.
