Rabbi Barry J. Chesler was ordained by the Jewish Theological Seminary of America in 1992.He served as the rabbi of the Malverne Jewish Center on Long Island for six years.Since 1998, he has taught at the Schechter School of Long Island, where he also serves as the Coordinator of Jewish Studies for the Upper School.He was on the faculty of Prozdor for many years, teaching at both the Huntington branch and JTS.He also teaches at Camp Ramah in the Berkshires.He is married to Cantor Carol A. Chesler [also JTS 1992]; they have four children.
