Rachel Jacoby Rosenfield is co-founder and director of the Jewish Greening Fellowship, an initiative of theIsabella Freedman Jewish Retreat Center, which aims to cultivate environmental change leadership among Jewish communal professionals, reduce the environmental impacts of Jewish organizations in the New York area, and generate meaningful responses to global climate change while strengthening Jewish life.

Episode Four: What Is Jewish Meditation?

In this months episode of Isabella FreeRadio, host Rachel Jacoby Rosenfield, welcomes author, Rabbi David Cooper and Alison Laitcher of the Jewish Meditation Center of Brooklyn to discuss the role of Meditation in Judaism.

Episode Two: Celebrating the Harvest: Looking Forward to SukkahFest

In the second episode of Isabella FreeRadio, host Rachel Jacoby Rosenfield, welcomes Shamu Sadeh the Director of Adamah, Rabbi Jill Hammer, Director of Kohenet and Rabbi Ezra Weinberg of Mishkan Ha’am to talk about their experiences of Sukkot and their experiences at past SukkahFest retreats at Isabella Freedman. Each of the guests shared what they were looking forward to at this years SukkahFest, as well as what they do during the “Days of Awe” between Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur.

Episode One: Shared Values: Why We Bring Our Organizations to Isabella Freedman to Dream

In this inaugural episode of Isabella FreeRadio, host Rachel Jacoby Rosenfield, welcomes Ruth Messenger, President of AJWS and Nigel Savage, Executive Director of Hazon to  talk about their own personal connection to Isabella Freedman Jewish Retreat Center, the ways and reasons that their organizations use Isabella Freedman and the ways that the work of the two organizations are similar to the mission and work of the camp.

The conversation included questions of the roles, locally and globally, in changing food policy, the upcoming farm bill and what we as individuals and as a community can do to think more intentionally about food.
